File is in client/local desk only. This was the message I use to get when i try to call excel interop (like pWorkbook-Sheets-Item(LPCTSTR)csWorksheetName) when excel is edit mode. This was the reason i want to know if there is a way to check if excel is in edit mode so that i can show more useful message instead of server busy message. What key do you press to enter the edit mode. Type vi 'name of the file' to enter the editing mode then type 'i' to start typing. When you are done editing type:wq to write then exit vi.

Excel for Mac pc 2016: F2
The most recent version of Office for Mac pc (2016) changed a number of keyboard cutting corners to create greater similarity across Home windows and Macintosh versions of the software. Ctrl + U appears to no longer work as a shortcut essential for editing tissues in Excel 2016 for Macintosh. Instead the Y2 key must end up being used. Based on the keyboard configurations on your particular Mac, to result in Y2 (instead of growing screen lighting), you may have got to hold down the 'function' key (fn) while also striking Y2. To enhance this behavior, proceed to System Preferences gt; Key pad and check out or uncheck 'Make use of all Y1, F2, etc. secrets as regular function tips.'

In Figures, is now there a way to edit a cell's articles without getting to use the mousé? By edit, l imply to enter edit mode without completely changing the mobile's articles (like as to append to current text message).
The only solution I can find can be to de-seIect the 'Return essential techniques to next cell' option for the table. That lets me make use of the Come back essential to edit a cell, but I would much prefer a method to perform this without dropping normal procedure of the Come back key while editing and enhancing.
In Excel, I think the F2 key does the technique.
The Quantities '09, the 'Keyboard Cutting corners' assist page says that to 'Edit content in mobile' you 'Choose cell and click once, double, or three situations.' Not really specifically akey padshortcut.
